Trump International Golf Club Dubai

When Trump International Golf Club Dubai opened in early 2017, it was the first new 18-hole course in Dubai for seven years, and it made a big impression. Today it's ranked second in the UAE and third in the Middle East, among the region's elite golf courses.

The design is by Gil Hanse and Jim Wagner, the team behind the Olympic golf course in Rio. They routed the 18-hole, par-71 layout across 500 acres of previously flat desert, using a deep, cavernous gorge as the backbone of the course. The result has genuine elevation change, a rarity in Dubai. From the back tees it stretches to about 7,205 yards, and it blends classic desert golf with strategically placed water. Shifting winds, varied vegetation and exposed sand make accurate shot-making essential.

The practice facilities are among the best in the city. There's an LED-lit driving range, a golf academy and a floodlit 9-hole par-3 course that's perfect for evening golf. The clubhouse, described as Dubai's largest, has four high-end restaurants, a gym and an infinity pool.

The club is in DAMAC Hills, about 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport, close to Arabian Ranches and Motor City.
