The Els Club Dubai

Ernie Els, four-time Major champion and one of golf's smoothest swingers, put his name to only one course in Dubai. The Els Club, in the Victory Heights community of Dubai Sports City, opened in 2008 and quickly collected awards. It was named Best New International Course by Links Golf Magazine and Best New Facility of the Year by Troon Golf in 2008, then Best Golf Course in Dubai at the CNBC Arabian Property Awards in 2009.

The 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course measures about 7,538 yards from the back tees. It's laid out in two returning loops of nine. Els gave it a links-style character, with sandy waste areas, native grasses and generous fairways, and added significant elevation changes that make it visually striking. Four tee options per hole make it enjoyable for every level, and the course ranks among the top five golf courses in the UAE.

The club is managed by Troon Golf. Its facilities include restaurants, a snooker room and club and shoe rental. Dubai Sports City is also home to the Manchester United Soccer School, the ICC Global Cricket Academy and the David Lloyd Tennis Academy, so it's a real sporting destination. The club is about 27 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

For golfers who love a links feel, the Els Club is a standout among the golf courses in Dubai.

It's also a great venue for regular social golf. With CoGolfers, you can host golf games at The Els Club and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games other golfers have organised in Dubai. You can find golf partners, meet golfers at your level and connect with golfers near you. Join the community to form golf groups and enjoy the Big Easy's course with new golf buddies.
