Jumeirah Golf Estates – Fire Course

The Fire Course is the second championship layout at Jumeirah Golf Estates. Like its famous sister, the Earth Course, it was designed by Greg Norman. It opened in 2009 and gives golfers a slightly more approachable, but still very rewarding, way to experience one of Dubai's premier golf destinations.

The 18-hole, par-72 golf course stretches to about 7,480 yards from the back tees. It has plenty of undulation and elevation change, which is unusual for desert golf in Dubai. Its greens run a little slower than the Earth Course's, so putting feels more manageable. Don't be fooled, though. The Fire Course is a strategic test that rewards accurate driving and punishes wayward shots. Norman drew inspiration from classic parkland courses in North America and Europe, so thoughtful positioning off the tee pays off throughout the round.

Golfers at Jumeirah Golf Estates enjoy excellent facilities. There's accommodation on the estate, several restaurants and outdoor dining areas, and golf carts and umbrellas are included. Club and shoe rental is available too. The course is open daily, with groups of up to four players.

The estate sits off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in the south of Dubai. It's a natural base for golfers who want to play both championship courses over a trip.

The Fire Course is great for groups of mixed ability. On CoGolfers, you can host golf games at Jumeirah Golf Estates' Fire Course and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games that other players have set up. It's an easy way to find golf partners, meet golfers visiting or living in Dubai and connect with golfers near you. Join the community to plan social golf days and play both Norman courses with new golf buddies.
