Monterez Golf & Country Club

Monterez Golf & Country Club in Seksyen U9, Shah Alam, is a public golf course designed by Peter Dalkeith Scott and opened in 1994. With its friendly atmosphere and extensive sports facilities, it's a popular choice for golfers and families in the western Klang Valley.

The 18-hole, par-71 layout measures about 6,166 yards from the blue tees, with a course rating of 69.9 and a slope of 123. That moderate length makes it an enjoyable course for mid- and high-handicap players, while still rewarding accurate iron play. Bermuda grass fairways and greens are used throughout.

Facilities include a driving range, bunker practice area, pitching and chipping area, putting green and a golf academy with teaching professionals. The club also offers a swimming pool, fitness centre, sauna, tennis, squash, table tennis, volleyball and basketball. Golf carts, pull carts, caddies and club rental are available, walking is allowed and appropriate golf attire is required.

Monterez is close to Subang and the Guthrie Corridor Expressway, making it easy to reach from Kuala Lumpur and Shah Alam.
