Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club

Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club, known to most golfers as KLGCC, is a prestigious private club in Bukit Kiara, the green lung just minutes from central Kuala Lumpur. Its 36 holes are split across two championship courses, both originally designed by Robin Nelson and Rodney Wright in 1991, and for a period the club was branded TPC Kuala Lumpur.

The East Course is the tournament-style layout. Redesigned in 2010 by Ted and Geoff Parslow with Mark Miller, it plays to par 71 and stretches to about 6,614 yards from the black tees, with a course rating of 73.8 and a slope of 133. Water comes into play on many holes, and the strategic design demands precision rather than raw length.

The West Course, renovated by the same team in 2008, is a par-72 parkland course of about 6,368 yards from the black tees, with a course rating of 72.1 and a slope of 130. Shorter than the East, it places a premium on accuracy, approach play and putting, and black, blue, white, red and gold tees make it suitable for every level of golfer.

KLGCC is a full-service country club. Caddies are compulsory and golf carts are available, with GPS-equipped carts on the East. Practice facilities include a driving range and the MST Golf Academy with teaching professionals, and members enjoy swimming, billiards, a fitness centre, tennis and bowling. Proper attire is required, and golf is played year-round.

Its location makes KLGCC one of the easiest premium golf clubs in Asia to reach from the city's business districts. With CoGolfers, members can host golf games on the East or West Course and invite guests from the CoGolfers community, while other golfers can join the community to find golf partners, meet golfers in Kuala Lumpur and connect with golfers near you. Join CoGolfers to build your golf group and enjoy city golf with new golf buddies.
