About Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam (KGPA)
Kelab Golf Perkhidmatan Awam, better known as KGPA or the Civil Service Golf Club, sits in the green hills of Bukit Kiara, just off Jalan Damansara in Kuala Lumpur. Opened in 1994, it has 27 holes made up of three nines, the Forest, Lake and Hill courses, which combine into par-72 rounds.
Each nine has its own character. The Forest nine, for example, plays about 2,711 metres from the blue tees, par 36, with a course rating of 34.7 and a slope of 129, a sign of a tight, tree-lined layout that demands accuracy. The hilly Bukit Kiara terrain adds elevation changes that make club selection interesting.
Facilities include a driving range and putting green, a restaurant and clubhouse with banquet facilities, and swimming, billiards, a fitness centre and tennis. Golf carts, caddies and club rental are available, metal spikes are permitted and walking is allowed. A strict dress code applies: no collarless shirts, jeans or tennis shorts.
KGPA is semi-private and open to visitors, making it one of the most accessible golf clubs close to central Kuala Lumpur. Its location near Damansara Heights, Bangsar and Mont Kiara makes early-morning or after-work golf easy.
With three nines, it's a great venue for regular group games. With CoGolfers, you can host golf games at KGPA and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games other players have set up. You can find golf partners, meet golfers in Kuala Lumpur and connect with golfers near you. Join the community to build your golf group and enjoy hillside city golf with new golf buddies.
