About Tawau Golf Club - Kukusan Course
The Kukusan Course, also called the Town Course, is the original home of Tawau Golf Club, located at KM4 on Jalan Kukusan close to Tawau town. The club's first clubhouse here was a simple atap hut in the 1960s, replaced by a wooden building in the early 1970s and then modernised in 1992. The course itself was designed or redesigned around 1991.
Kukusan is a nine-hole, par-36 course that is played twice for an 18-hole round of par 72 and about 5,774 metres. From the men's tees it carries a rating of 70.7 and a slope of 136, and ladies play it at around 5,129 metres. Its town location makes it convenient for regular rounds after work.
Golf carts, pull carts, caddies and rental clubs are available. The practice facilities include a driving range, putting green, golf simulator and indoor practice area, and the clubhouse has a bar and restaurant along with swimming, billiards and fitness facilities. Walking is permitted and proper attire is required.
