Shan-Shui Golf & Country Resort

Shan-Shui Golf & Country Resort is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course on Apas Road, about nine miles from central Tawau. Designed by Nelson & Haworth and opened in 1998, it is one of the most demanding courses in Sabah.

From the gold tees the course stretches to about 6,644 metres, with a rating of 75.2 and a slope of 141, among the highest figures in the state. Blue, white and red tees offer more manageable lengths for everyday play. The greens are Bermuda Tifdwarf, and the course allows fivesome play, which is handy for larger groups.

Golf carts are included in the green fee, and caddies and rental clubs are available. Practice facilities include a driving range, practice areas and a golf simulator. The clubhouse has a bar and restaurant, sauna and locker rooms, and there is a swimming pool. Normal golfing attire is required.
