Abu Dhabi City Golf Club

Abu Dhabi City Golf Club is the oldest golf course in the emirate. It was founded in 1977 as the original Abu Dhabi Golf Club, long before the capital's modern championship venues were built. Its current 9-hole grass course dates from 1998 and was redesigned in 2010 by British architect Ian Scott Taylor.

The golf course in Al Mushrif is fully floodlit, so it's one of the most popular places in Abu Dhabi for evening golf. The nine holes play to par 35, and to par 70 over 18 holes, measuring about 6,307 yards for men and 5,403 yards for ladies over two loops. There's one par 5, six par 4s and two par 3s. Water comes into play on more than half the holes, striking a good balance between challenging and inviting holes that suits beginners and experienced golfers alike.

The clubhouse has a pro shop, dining and event spaces. The Abu Dhabi City Golf Academy runs lessons, coaching and a strong junior programme, alongside a driving range. Tee times can be booked online.

Its central location in Al Mushrif makes it the most convenient golf club in Abu Dhabi for city residents. It's easy to fit a round in after work or a lesson on the weekend.

That makes it a natural home for regular social golf.
