Al Dhafra Golf Links

Al Dhafra Golf Links in Al Ruwais, in the far west of Abu Dhabi's Al Dhafra region, is one of the longest-established golf courses in the UAE. It opened in 1988, and it has given the Ruwais community a place to play for decades.

The 9-hole, par-36 golf course measures about 2,912 yards from the men's tees and 2,677 yards from the ladies' tees. It has a desert-links style that reflects its coastal, sandy setting. Going around twice gives a full 18-hole round, and the manageable length suits beginners, families and experienced golfers who want a relaxed game.

Facilities are practical. There are practice areas with bunkers, a pitching and chipping area and a putting green, plus pull carts and caddie services. Walking is permitted, banquet facilities are available and billiards adds to the social side. The course is open year-round and accepts credit cards.
