Abu Dhabi Golf Club

Abu Dhabi Golf Club is instantly recognisable by its clubhouse, which is shaped like a falcon perched on a golf ball, one of the most famous buildings in world golf. The club, in Khalifa City, hosted the Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship for 16 consecutive years. The world's best players competed here, and over more than 25 years it has also staged the Eisenhower Trophy, LIV Golf Promotions and the Team Cup.

Peter Harradine designed the club's 27 holes. The 18-hole National Course is the championship layout, par 72 and about 7,334 yards, with lush fairways, around 90 strategically placed bunkers and generous, rolling greens. Saltwater lakes, date palms and ornamental trees create a desert-oasis feel. The 9-hole Garden Course is fully floodlit, so you can play golf in the evening. Four tee options on each course make them playable for every level, and Golf World magazine has ranked the club among the world's top 100.

Facilities are those of a complete golf resort. There are four restaurants, including Café 28 and The Grille steakhouse, several bars, a golf academy, The Range practice facility, a fitness centre, swimming pool, tennis and squash. The five-star Abu Dhabi Golf Resort Hotel is on site, and the club is managed by Troon Golf. It's about 15 minutes from downtown Abu Dhabi and 10 minutes from the international airport.

The club offers tee time booking, stay-and-play packages, corporate golf days and a mobile app.

With 27 holes and floodlit golf, it's a great venue for regular group play.
