Rachakram Golf Club

Rachakram Golf Club, in Chang Yai, Bang Sai district, is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Dr. Sukitti Klangvisai, one of Thailand's best-known golf course architects. It sits around 45 minutes from Bangkok, close enough for a day trip yet far enough to feel like a proper escape from the city.

What stands out is the variety. The holes differ a lot in both length and design, so the round never settles into a single rhythm. The par 3s range from about 136 yards to a demanding 230 yards, and every par 5 measures more than 500 yards. From the back tees the course stretches to around 6,940 yards.

There are also plenty of challenging obstacles along the way, including a number of blind water hazards. First-time visitors will benefit from a good caddie or a careful look at the course guide, because knowing where the trouble lies can save several shots.
