Sibuga Golf Club

Sibuga Golf Club is a nine-hole, par-34 parkland course off Jalan Sibuga on the outskirts of Sandakan. The club was formerly known as Pamol Sabah Golf Club and Hilltop Golf and Country Club, and GolfPass credits Nelson & Haworth with work on the course in 2016.

At about 2,755 yards from the back tees, it is a compact course, but water hazards and bunkers are found throughout the layout, so it still asks for careful club selection. Its short format makes it well suited to a quick after-work round, a practice session on course management or a relaxed game for newer golfers.

Caddies and rental clubs are available, and the club has a driving range, putting green and teaching professional. The clubhouse includes a restaurant, bar and locker rooms, and there are facilities for swimming, billiards and tennis. The course is open year-round and accepts major credit cards, giving Sandakan golfers a second option alongside the town's 18-hole country club.
