About Samudera Golf Club
Samudera Golf Club is a 9-hole, par-35 parkland course in Lumut on the Perak coast. Opened in 1989, it is located on a military base and is a public course open to visiting players, with coastal breezes adding interest to what is otherwise a compact, friendly layout.
The back tees measure around 2,606 yards, so the course suits golfers who want a shorter round, practise their iron play, or squeeze in a quick nine before or after work. Playing the loop twice gives a full 18-hole round with a total par of 70. Walking is permitted, and golf carts, pull carts and rental clubs are available.
For a nine-hole club, Samudera is well equipped. There is a driving range and putting green, a teaching professional for lessons, and a clubhouse with showers and lockers. The bar and restaurant are a good place to relax after the round, and the club also offers swimming, billiards and a tennis court. Major credit cards are accepted.
Lumut is a popular base for trips to Pangkor Island and for golfers pairing a quick nine with a coastal break.
