Gemas Golf Resort

In the far south-east of Negeri Sembilan, near the borders with Johor and Pahang, Gemas Golf Resort is an 18-hole, par-72 resort course that opened in 1996. The course is surrounded by forest reserve and is described as environmentally friendly, having worked with the Forestry Department to identify and label its trees.

The layout measures 5,956 yards from the back tees, split into an outward nine of 2,845 yards and an inward nine of 3,111 yards, each par 36. It is not long by modern standards, but GolfLux lists a slope of 140 from the back tees, which suggests a course that asks for accuracy through the trees rather than power.

Facilities include golf carts, a driving range, putting green, restaurant, meeting and banquet facilities, showers, internet access and a swimming pool, and walking is permitted. The resort also offers accommodation, which makes an overnight golf stay practical.
