Kolkata Golf Community

Kolkata is home to some of golf's deepest roots in India, with clubs like [Royal Calcutta Golf Club](https://cogolfers.com/golf-course/india/kolkata/royal-calcutta-golf-club) — among the oldest golf clubs in the country — still shaping how the game is played in the city. The Kolkata Golf Community on CoGolfers gives that history a modern complement: an easy way for golfers across the city to find each other and play more often. The community lets members create or join open games, see what's happening at courses across Kolkata, and get ahead of tournament registrations instead of finding out after the fact. It's a simple layer on top of a golfing culture that's existed for generations, designed to make day-to-day organizing easier rather than replacing the traditions already in place. For golfers in Kolkata, the value is in reach. The city's golf community has historically been close-knit and club-centered, which is part of its charm but can make it hard for newer players or those outside a specific club to find regular games. This community opens that up, connecting golfers across different clubs and backgrounds under one shared space. A few things to keep in mind: represent your handicap honestly, confirm tee times once agreed, and avoid last-minute cancellations where possible. The community is meant for golfers finding golfers — not a channel for promoting coaching, equipment, or other services. Kolkata's golf tradition runs deep, and this community is simply a way to keep that tradition active and growing. If you play anywhere in the city, it's worth being part of the group that's organizing the next round.
