About The Chandigarh Golf Club
The Chandigarh Golf Club, laid out in 1962 as part of Le Corbusier's master plan for the city, course spanning 7,202 yards on the southern shores of Sukhna Lake in Sector 6. Expanded from 9 to 18 holes in the late 1970s under Peter Thomson's design, the tight, tree-lined course winds through mango, jamun, and kikar orchards, home to one of India's longest par-5s at 613 yards. Often called the "Cradle of Indian Golf," it's the only club in Northern India with a floodlit 9-hole course, and counts Jeev Milkha Singh among its notable golfers.
Chandigarh's golf scene runs deep, and it's easy to be part of it. Join the Chandigarh Golf Club community on CoGolfers to find golf partners nearby, connect with golfers, and stay updated on tournaments.
