About Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club
At Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club, you might share the fairways with flamingos. Jack Nicklaus designed this 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course inside a protected natural environment of mangroves and lagoons in Ajman. It's rich in native marine and plant life, and it's one of the most unusual golf settings in the UAE.
The course opened at the end of 2015 at the heart of the Al Zorah development and measures about 7,169 yards. Holes are laid out within natural wetlands, around two large lakes and a tidal lagoon that covers two square kilometres of protected habitat. About 1.5 km of boardwalks carry golfers across areas that change with the tides. Wide fairways make it welcoming off the tee, but the water and mangroves demand accurate approaches. It ranks among the top ten golf courses in the UAE.
Facilities include a driving range, pro shop, golf academy and a modern clubhouse with a European-Arabic fusion restaurant. Golf carts come with GPS, and clubs and shoes can be rented. The club is about 25 minutes from Dubai International Airport, an easy trip from Dubai and Sharjah.
For nature lovers and golfers alike, Al Zorah is a refreshing change from the region's desert courses.
It's also a great course for a group outing. On CoGolfers, you can host golf games at Al Zorah Golf & Yacht Club and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games that other players have created. Find golf partners, meet golfers in Ajman, Sharjah and Dubai and connect with golfers near you. Join the community to form golf groups and enjoy a Nicklaus course among the mangroves with new golf buddies.
