About The Mines Resort & Golf Club
The Mines Resort & Golf Club in Seri Kembangan, just south of Kuala Lumpur, is built on a former tin-mining site, and its dramatic lakes and landforms are a legacy of that history. Designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. with Donald Knott and Gary Linn and opened in 1994, it has hosted some of the biggest events in Malaysian golf, including the 1999 World Cup of Golf.
The 18-hole, par-71 parkland course stretches to about 6,966 yards. Water frames many of the holes, and Trent Jones Jr.'s strategic design rewards careful positioning and precise approach shots. Greenlees Park fairways and Tifdwarf Bermuda greens give quality playing surfaces all year.
Facilities are extensive. There's a driving range, a golf academy, a golf simulator, teaching professionals, and pitching and putting practice areas. The clubhouse has a lounge, conference and banquet facilities, a bar, a sauna and locker rooms. Golf carts, pull carts, caddies and club rental are available, walking is allowed and metal spikes are permitted.
The Mines is close to Kuala Lumpur city centre, Putrajaya and the major highways, so it's one of the most convenient championship golf courses for city golfers and visitors.
A course with this much history is great to share. With CoGolfers, you can host golf games at The Mines and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games other golfers have created. You can find golf partners, meet golfers in Kuala Lumpur and connect with golfers near you. Join the community to form golf groups and enjoy lakeside championship golf with new golf buddies.
