About Kinta Golf Club
Kinta Golf Club, also known as Kelab Golf Kinta, is one of the oldest clubs in Perak. Established in 1921 in Batu Gajah, it is an 18-hole, par-70 public course with a history closely tied to the tin-mining heritage of the Kinta Valley.
One of its most unusual features is its site: the course was built on a former airstrip, and the par-5 12th hole still runs along the line of the original runway. The course was redesigned in 1998 and refreshed in 2011, keeping the character of a traditional, compact layout while bringing the playing surfaces up to date.
At 5,584 metres from the blue tees, with a course rating of 66.1 and slope of 111, Kinta is one of the more approachable 18-hole tests in the region. Three sets of tees range down to about 4,519 metres, which makes it a comfortable course for newer golfers, seniors and anyone who prefers a quicker, walkable round. Walking is allowed, carts are available, and there is a driving range, restaurant and clubhouse on site. Credit cards are accepted.
Kinta's friendly scale makes it ideal for regular midweek games. Through CoGolfers, you can host golf games at Kinta Golf Club and invite nearby players from the CoGolfers community, or join golf games that other golfers in Batu Gajah have already created. It is a simple way to find golf partners, meet golfers in the Ipoh area and build a group of golf buddies who enjoy classic, heritage golf.
