About Memanbetsu Golf Course
Memanbetsu Golf Course, designed by architect Robert Walker and opened in 2001, serves the Memanbetsu area of Ozora-cho, home to the regional airport that connects eastern Hokkaido's Okhotsk coast to the rest of Japan. The resort-style 18-hole course plays to a par of 72, with a full spread of tees from 5,896 to 6,801 yards, and bluegrass fairways paired with A-1 grass greens give the course a premium playing surface. The club closes entirely in winter, reopening each spring for its seasonal schedule, and offers golf carts, caddies, a driving range and full clubhouse amenities including a restaurant and locker facilities. Major credit cards including JCB, Visa, Diners Club and American Express are accepted. Memanbetsu's proximity to its namesake airport makes this course a convenient stop for golfers flying into or out of eastern Hokkaido, whether they're headed to see the drift ice along the Okhotsk coast, the Kushiro wetlands, or the Shiretoko Peninsula further north. For CoGolfers members bookending a trip through eastern Hokkaido's more remote attractions, Memanbetsu Golf Course offers an easy, well-appointed round right near the regional gateway airport.
