Jumeirah Golf Estates – Earth Course

Each November, the DP World Tour season reaches its climax on the Earth Course at Jumeirah Golf Estates. It's the home of the DP World Tour Championship, the final event of the Race to Dubai. The course was also the first in the world to be built specifically for a championship and unveiled with the opening tee shot of that event.

Greg Norman designed the Earth Course, which opened in 2008. It's an 18-hole, par-72 championship golf course stretching to around 7,700 yards. Around 99 white-sand bunkers stand out against a striking deep red-ochre landscape, making it one of the most photographed golf courses in the region. The course is ranked among the top five in the Middle East, and Golf Digest has included it in its World's Top 100 Golf Courses. Norman drew inspiration from the great parkland courses of North America and Europe, so expect strategic bunkering, firm greens and demanding approaches.

Playing here is a smooth experience. GPS-equipped golf carts show yardages and even let you order food and drinks during your round. The clubhouse has a restaurant, a grill with indoor and outdoor seating and a sports bar serving breakfast through dinner. Accommodation is available on the estate. Golf carts are included and equipment rental is available.

Jumeirah Golf Estates sits off Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311) in the south of Dubai, and the Fire Course is right next door.
