Jebel Ali Golf Course (JA The Resort)

Few golf courses in Dubai come with gazelles and peacocks roaming the fairways, but Jebel Ali Golf Course does. It's set within JA The Resort near Palm Jebel Ali. This 9-hole, par-35 golf course by Peter Harradine covers about 50 acres of landscaped grounds, and the resort calls it a masterpiece for its serene sea views and wildlife.

The layout is compact but full of character, making it ideal for a relaxed round, a quick nine before dinner or golf as part of a resort holiday. Because it's a proper championship-standard nine, it still challenges good players, and you can go around twice for an 18-hole round.

The Golf Academy offers coaching from PGA professionals. Beginners are welcome to take lessons and use the practice facilities. To play the course itself, golfers need an official handicap certificate (maximum 28 for men and 36 for women) or must show course experience. Electric carts, pull trolleys and club rental are available, and there's a driving range, pro shop and golf reception. The course is open from 10am to 9:45pm, and proper golf attire is required.

JA The Resort sits on the coast between Dubai and Abu Dhabi, so the course is a relaxed alternative to the busier golf clubs in central Dubai. Members get priority tee times, and the resort also hosts corporate and private golf events.

For guests at JA The Resort, or golfers living in Dubai South and Jebel Ali, this is a charming local golf course. On CoGolfers, you can host golf games at Jebel Ali Golf Course and invite members of the CoGolfers community, or join golf games that others have posted. You can find golf partners, meet golfers near you and connect with golfers across Dubai. Join the community for relaxed social golf with new golf buddies.
