Stonehill Golf Club

Stonehill Golf Club is one of the most talked-about golf courses in Asia. Opened in July 2022 in Chiang Rak Noi, Sam Khok, about 30 km north of Bangkok, it made international headlines only months later when it hosted Asia's first LIV Golf event in October 2022. The professionals who played it praised its impeccable conditioning and thoughtful layout.

The course was designed by Kyle Phillips, and it's a giant. From the championship tees it stretches to about 7,816 yards, with a course rating of 75.5 and slope of 137, making it one of the longest and toughest 18-hole golf courses in Thailand. Contoured landforms, expansive bunkering and strategic water hazards shape every hole, rewarding golfers who can plan their way around as well as hit it long.

The clubhouse, designed by Timothy Slattery of Hart Howerton, blends modern and traditional Thai architecture. Dining options include the Ubuntu and Rock Creek restaurants and the Firefly bar, alongside The Pavilion, locker rooms, a driving range, a golf simulator and an indoor practice area. Caddies and golf carts are available.

Stonehill is a private club: the golf course is reserved for members and their accompanied guests, although the restaurants and bars welcome all visitors for bookings and private events.
