River Kwai Golf & Country Club

River Kwai Golf & Country Club is a lesser-known golf resort in Wang Krachae, Sai Yok district, deep in Kanchanaburi's scenic countryside. Opened in 1993, it's an 18-hole, par-72 parkland golf course that combines a relaxed round with nearby attractions such as Krasae Cave and Sai Yok Elephant Park.

The course stretches to about 7,220 yards from the back tees, around 6,260 yards from the front tees and about 5,740 yards from the ladies' tees, so it suits a wide range of players. Walking is permitted, and caddies, golf carts and pull carts are available.

The resort offers hotel accommodation, making it a natural base for exploring the Sai Yok area. Golf club facilities include a driving range, putting green, pro shop, swimming pool, showers, club rental and a restaurant serving Thai and European food.

Because it's further from Bangkok than many Kanchanaburi courses, River Kwai Golf & Country Club is a great stop on a longer trip through western Thailand, pairing golf with rivers, caves, waterfalls and national parks.
