Phunaka Golf Course & Academy

Located in Phuket, Phunaka Golf Course & Academy gives golfers another reason to explore the Thai golf landscape. The course is recorded as 9 Holes with a par of 30, making it suitable for players looking for a complete golf round while travelling or playing locally. Phunaka Golf Course & Academy in Chalong, southern Phuket, is a 9-hole, par-30 course designed by Jon Morrow and opened in 2009, about 20 minutes from Patong and Karon beaches. With six par 3s and three par 4s over 2,163 yards, it is ideal for beginners, short-game practice or a quick round — play it twice for a full 18. The par-3 3rd, over natural marshland to a small green, is a highlight. Facilities include a golf academy, 300-yard driving range, clubhouse, restaurants and floodlit night golf. For golfers new to Phuket, finding the right playing partners can be as important as choosing the course. CoGolfers connects players with the local golf community, where members can join community groups, meet golfers nearby, and join golf games organized by other players.
