About Khao Yai Country Club
Set in a valley surrounded by mountains in the foothills of Khao Yai National Park, Khao Yai Country Club, formerly Mission Hills Khao Yai, is an 18-hole, par-72 golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1993. The setting is one of the most scenic in Thailand, and the club describes the area as the seventh-best ozone region in the world, a reminder of how fresh the mountain air feels compared with the city.
Nicklaus designed the layout to offer an excellent variety of challenges. From the black tees it stretches to around 7,060 yards, and each hole asks a slightly different question, from carefully positioned tee shots to approaches that need the right trajectory and spin. With several tees available, golfers of all abilities can enjoy the round.
The clubhouse is focused on the essentials: a restaurant serving Thai and European food, a pro shop and a practice putting green. After the round, the wider Khao Yai area offers plenty to do, from national park trails and waterfalls to cafés and vineyards.
The club is located in Mu Si, Pak Chong, the gateway to the national park and a favourite weekend destination for Bangkok residents. Many golfers plan a trip around a round here and a night or two in the mountains.
A Jack Nicklaus golf course in a national park setting is the perfect excuse for a group trip.
