Dancoon Golf Club

Built on former farmland in Daeng Yai, just outside Khon Kaen, Dancoon Golf Club opened in 2008 as an 18-hole, par-72 golf course with open, flat terrain and generous fairways. It's a welcoming course that suits golfers of every level, but it saves its real challenge for later in the round.

Players describe the front nine as the easier half, a chance to settle in and build a score. The back nine is more difficult and more interesting, with holes that demand better shot-making. That structure makes Dancoon a good course for competitive matches, since the result often isn't decided until the closing holes.

There are four tee options. The blue tees stretch to about 6,950 yards, the yellows play around 6,470 yards, the whites about 5,980 yards and the reds roughly 5,550 yards.

Facilities include a restaurant serving Thai and European food, a pro shop and a practice putting green. The course's proximity to Khon Kaen city makes it an easy option for a morning or after-work round.
