Sandy Bay Golf Links

Situated inside the historic Naval Dockyard overlooking the deep natural harbor of Trincomalee, Sandy Bay Golf Links provides a scenic par-3 golfing experience in the Eastern Province. Operated by Sri Lanka Navy Golf, this 9-hole golf course plays to a par of 27 and is affiliated with the national governing body, Sri Lanka Golf. The links-style layout features compact fairways lined by coastal palm trees, natural sand hazards, and picturesque water features influenced by ocean breezes coming directly off Sandy Bay. It presents a demanding test of wedge play, short-iron accuracy, and delicate putting touch across undulating greens. In addition to hosting the annual Sandy Bay Cup and Navy Commander's Cup, the property features solid golf course facilities, including practice greens, equipment hire, and a tranquil clubhouse atmosphere. For travelers visiting Trincomalee's pristine beaches, booking a quick golf round at Sandy Bay delivers a refreshing change of pace from traditional 18-hole championship courses. The CoGolfers platform makes it simple for traveling players and local golfers to connect with golfers based across Trincomalee. Use the CoGolfers community to find golf partners, host golf games, or join community events along the eastern coast. Whether pairing up for friendly match play or meeting golfers during weekend social golf gatherings, Sandy Bay Golf Links offers an inviting seaside venue to enjoy social golf and golf networking in Sri Lanka.
