About Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club
Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club lies within the grounds of Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort at Pantai Dalit in Tuaran, about 35 km north-east of Kota Kinabalu. The 18-hole, par-72 course was designed by Ted Parslow, with Geoff Parslow also credited, and it is laid out between rivers, native rainforest and wetlands that were developed from mangrove swamp.
From the back tees the course plays to 6,369 metres with a rating of 73.2 and a slope of 133. Water is in play on most holes, but generous fairways and four sets of tees make it manageable for a wide range of abilities. The course is bordered by the Tambalang and Mengkabong rivers, and on clear days, especially early in the morning, Mount Kinabalu is visible from much of the layout. Monkeys and monitor lizards are common sights.
Fairways are Tifway 419 Bermuda. Golf carts are included in the green fee, and the practice facilities include a driving range, practice bunker, chipping area and putting green, plus a teaching professional. The clubhouse has a restaurant, grill and bar, meeting and banquet rooms, a spa and locker rooms, and the resort next door offers accommodation and dining. Soft spikes and appropriate golf attire are required.
Dalit Bay is a favourite for a full day out from Kota Kinabalu. On CoGolfers you can join golf games heading to Tuaran, host golf games for friends and colleagues and find golf buddies for the drive up the coast. It is an easy way to meet golfers, grow your golf group and connect with golfers in Tuaran and across Sabah.
