Palm Resort Golf & Country Club

Palm Resort Golf & Country Club in Senai is a 54-hole golf destination spread across roughly 800 acres, just off Jalan Jumbo near Senai International Airport in Johor. Its three 18-hole, par-72 championship courses, the Allamanda, Cempaka and Melati, are credited to Ronald Fream with Hiromasa Inagawa, with GolfPass also crediting Ross Forbes on the Allamanda. That much space gives each course room to breathe.

The Allamanda opened in 1992 and is the shortest of the trio at about 6,866 yards from the championship tees. It is a good introduction to the club and a comfortable choice for mixed groups, while still playing as a genuine championship course on Tifdwarf greens.

The Cempaka stretches to around 7,156 yards from the pro tees, with Bermuda grass on both fairways and greens. From the back it is a serious driving test; from the forward tees it becomes a far more manageable round.

The Melati is the longest at roughly 7,205 yards from the black tees, pairing Serangoon grass fairways with Tifdwarf greens. Every course has four sets of tees, so single-figure players and newer golfers can share the same round, and regulars can rotate between three different challenges without leaving the club.

Golf carts, pull carts, caddies and rental clubs are available, and walking is permitted. A driving range and a golf academy with teaching professionals support practice and lessons, and the clubhouse offers changing rooms, a restaurant and bar, a health centre, a golf boutique and banquet facilities for tournaments and corporate events. Senai, Kulai and Skudai are on the doorstep, with Johor Bahru a short drive south.
