Kukup Golf Resort

Kukup Golf Resort sits in Pekan Penerok near Pontian, in the far south-western corner of Johor close to the fishing village of Kukup. The resort's operating course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout that opened in 1993; a second 18-hole course at the resort, the North Course, is no longer in operation.

The course measures about 6,225 metres from the black tees and carries a course rating of 75.9 with a slope of 134, making it one of the tougher-rated courses in the state. Fairways are Bermuda Tifway 419 and the greens are Bermuda Tifdwarf. The golf course occupies around 139 acres of the wider resort, and golf is played year-round.

Carts, pull carts and caddies are available, and walking is permitted. There is a driving range and a putting green, along with a restaurant. The resort side includes villa accommodation, a lap pool and lagoon pool, tennis, squash, table tennis and badminton courts, a gym, a spa and jacuzzi, ballrooms and conference facilities, so it works well for golf weekends and group events.
