About Royal Pekan Golf Club
Royal Pekan Golf Club on Jalan Padang Polo in Pekan, Pahang's royal town, is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1985. It is a semi-private club that is open to the public, and one of the more demanding courses on Malaysia's east coast. Pekan sits near the mouth of the Pahang River, a short drive south of Kuantan along the coast.
From the back tees the course stretches to about 7,474 yards, with a course rating of 74.9 and a slope of 131, numbers that put it among the longer and tougher tests in the country. Multiple tee options allow golfers of different abilities to enjoy the layout, and singles play is permitted.
Golf carts are included in green fees and caddies are available. The club has a driving range, a café, locker rooms and banquet facilities, and offers swimming, billiards and a fitness centre. Its location makes the club an easy addition to a golf trip in the state capital.
A course of this length is best enjoyed with good company. Use CoGolfers to host golf games at Royal Pekan, invite golfers from the CoGolfers community, or join golf games other players have created. Meet golfers in Pekan and Kuantan, find golf partners who enjoy a proper challenge and connect with golf buddies for your next east coast round.
