Christine Resort

Christine Resort in Bandar Seri Alam, Masai, is the current name of the 18-hole course that golfers in Johor have long known as Octville Golf & Country Club. The course first opened in 1993 and sits in the eastern suburbs of greater Johor Bahru, roughly 20 minutes from the Causeway.

The par-72 layout measures around 6,872 yards from the blue tees, with white and red tees for shorter hitters. Water plays a real part in the round: the course features four water hazards along with irrigation ponds, so club selection and accuracy off the tee matter on several holes. Nine of the holes are floodlit, which allows evening golf after the heat of the day has passed.

Practice facilities include a driving range, a putting green and indoor practice facilities, and pull carts and club rentals are available. Walking is permitted on the course. Away from golf, the resort has a lounge along with swimming and billiards, giving members and visitors somewhere to relax after the round.
