About Labuan International Golf Club
Labuan International Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course on around 200 acres on the south-west coast of Labuan Island. Designed by Ted Parslow (credited by Top 100 Golf Courses to Parslow & Winter) and opened in 2013, it occupies a large coastal site on the island.
From the blue tees the course measures about 6,182 metres, with a rating of 72.4 and a slope of 130, while white and red tees offer shorter options. Fairways are Bermuda 419 and greens Bermuda Tifdwarf. Top 100 Golf Courses has ranked it 23rd in Malaysia and 3rd in East Malaysia, which makes it one of the most highly regarded courses in the region.
The club is semi-private and open to visitors. Golf carts are included in the green fee, and the practice facilities include a driving range, practice bunker, pitching and chipping area and putting green. Locker rooms are available. Labuan is a federal territory and duty-free island off the Sabah coast, reachable by air or ferry, so the course is a worthwhile addition to a Borneo golf trip.
