About Green Acres Golf & Country Resort (Ibai)
Green Acres Golf & Country Resort at Kuala Ibai, listed on many golf directories as Ibai Golf & Country Club, is an 18-hole, par-72 resort course about ten minutes from Kuala Terengganu town centre. It opened in 1999, and GolfLux credits the design to Andy Dye.
GolfLux describes it as the longest course in Terengganu, with the Black tees stretching to 7,150 yards. Blue tees at 6,522 yards, White at 5,931 yards and Red at 5,247 yards make it manageable for most players. Lakes, bunkers and ravines shape the holes, and the Seashore Paspalum fairways and Bermuda Tifdwarf greens are well suited to the coastal climate.
Carts, pull carts, caddies and rental clubs are available, and walking is permitted. There is a driving range, a putting green and a teaching professional. The clubhouse has a restaurant, and the resort adds swimming, billiards and table tennis. According to GolfLux, the course has hosted many regional tournaments over the years, and it is open for golf year-round.
With its length and resort setting, Green Acres is well suited to a competitive group game.
