Penang Golf Resort in Bertam, Kepala Batas, is a 36-hole facility on mainland Penang with two par-72 layouts, the East and the West, both designed by Australian golfer Graham Marsh and opened in 1995. The resort sits right beside the North-South Expressway, with the Bertam Interchange providing direct access, which makes it one of the easiest courses to reach from Butterworth, northern Seberang Perai and southern Kedah.

The East Course is the longer of the two, stretching to about 6,917 yards from the black tees. The West plays slightly shorter at around 6,823 yards, and each course is divided into a first and second nine. Zoysia fairways give a firm lie, and Bermuda Tifdwarf greens provide true putting surfaces.
