About Darulaman Golf & Country Club
Darulaman Golf & Country Club in Jitra is an 18-hole, par-72 championship course designed by Ted and Geoff Parslow and opened in 1992. It lies in Bandar Darulaman, around 15 minutes from Alor Setar according to golf.com.my, and is reached easily from the North-South Expressway, which makes it one of the most accessible courses in northern Kedah.
The layout plays to 6,933 yards from the Black tees, with Blue tees at 6,638 yards and White tees at 5,891 yards for players who want a shorter round. Bunkers, ponds and water hazards come into play throughout, and groves of mature trees frame many of the holes. Bermuda fairways and Bermuda Tifdwarf greens are typical of the region's well-kept parkland courses.
The practice area includes a driving range, a chipping area and a putting green, and carts and rental clubs are available. The club goes beyond golf, with a clubhouse offering conference and banquet facilities, a spa, a swimming pool and billiards, so it works well for corporate days and family visits as well as regular weekend golf.
