About Carey Island Golf Club
Carey Island Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Selangor, dating back to 1930. Set on Carey Island among the plantations south of Port Klang, it's a public course with a relaxed, old-fashioned charm.
The 18-hole, par-72 layout, associated with architect Ted Parslow, measures about 6,689 yards from the back tees, with black, blue and red tee options. The flat island terrain makes for easy walking, and the course offers a quiet, uncrowded round.
Facilities include a putting green, golf carts, pull carts and caddies, along with swimming, billiards and tennis. Walking is permitted.
Carey Island is also home to Amverton Cove Golf & Island Resort, and Port Klang Golf Resort is nearby, so golfers can plan a multi-course day in this corner of Selangor.
A historic plantation course is a lovely place for social golf.
