Tentera Udara Golf Club

Tentera Udara Golf Club, also listed as Kelab Rekreasi Tentera Udara Butterworth, is a 9-hole, par-36 parkland course at the air force base in Butterworth on mainland Penang. Established in 1918, it is one of the oldest golf courses in the region and has served generations of military and local golfers.

At about 3,400 yards from the back tees, it is a full-length nine rather than an executive course. Two loops give a proper 18-hole round of around 6,800 yards, and the flat parkland setting makes it comfortable to walk. Proper golf attire is required.

The club offers more than many nine-hole venues. Golf carts, pull carts, caddies and rental clubs are available, and there is a driving range, a chipping area, a putting green and a teaching pro for lessons. The bar serves drinks and snacks after the round, and the club also provides swimming, tennis and billiards. Credit cards are accepted.
