Kelab Darul Ehsan

Kelab Darul Ehsan in Ampang is a 9-hole, par-36 golf course designed by Ron Fream and opened in 1984. Just east of central Kuala Lumpur, it's one of the most convenient places in the city to play a quick round or work on your game.

The executive-style layout measures about 2,812 metres from the back tees, with a course rating of 35.5 and a slope of 123. Bermuda grass is used on fairways and greens. Ladies' tees play about 2,507 metres. Playing twice gives a full 18-hole round.

The club is strong on practice and instruction. There's a driving range, a golf school with teaching professionals, a pitching and chipping area and a putting green, along with locker rooms, billiards and a fitness centre. Golf carts are available.

Its Ampang location, close to the Petronas Twin Towers and the embassy district, makes it a good choice for city residents and expatriates who want golf without a long drive.
