About Nishinomiya Country Club
Nishinomiya Country Club has operated in the Nigawa district of Nishinomiya city since 1955, designed by Seiichi Inoue, one of the pioneering figures of Japanese golf course architecture, and stretching to 6,704 yards from the back tees. Inoue's design work helped shape much of Japan's early golf landscape, and his involvement here gives Nishinomiya Country Club genuine historical standing among the country's pre-war and immediate postwar generation of courses. Nishinomiya sits along the Hanshin corridor between Kobe and Osaka, and the city has developed its own significant golf presence over the decades, including the separately located Nishinomiya Kogen Golf Club and Kobe Grand Hill Golf Club nearby. As one of the older clubs in the region, dating to 1955, Nishinomiya Country Club predates much of Hyogo's major golf construction boom of the following two decades. Its long operating history has allowed the course to mature into a genuinely established parkland setting shaped by seven decades of continuous play. Golfers interested in Seiichi Inoue's pioneering design work through CoGolfers can seek out Nishinomiya Country Club specifically, and the community is a good place to find others exploring this historically significant course.
