About Hiroshima Country Club - Hachihonmatsu Course
Hiroshima Country Club's Hachihonmatsu Course is a private woodland-style layout in Higashihiroshima, designed by Osamu Ueda and established in 1963. The course stretches an impressive 7,252 yards from the back tees, among the longer layouts in the prefecture, and features bent grass greens with three tee options -- back, regular, and front -- for golfers of different abilities. The club provides golf carts, caddies, a driving range, restaurant, and locker rooms, and it accepts major credit cards while allowing both metal spikes and walking. As a private facility, access typically requires membership or an introduction from an existing member, giving Hachihonmatsu a more exclusive character than many semi-private clubs in the region. With more than six decades of history, Hiroshima Country Club has established itself as one of the prefecture's premier golf destinations, and the Hachihonmatsu Course's considerable length makes it a serious test for accomplished golfers. Its sister layout, the Saijo Course, operates at a separate address nearby. For CoGolfers members with access to Hiroshima Country Club, the Hachihonmatsu Course offers one of the most demanding rounds available in the prefecture, and the CoGolfers community can help facilitate introductions for interested golfers.
