About Arun Golf Club
Arun Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-72 parkland course in Lhokseumawe, built to serve the Arun natural gas facility on Sumatra's northern tip, and opened in 1978. The layout measures 5,884 meters from the black tees and 4,998 meters from the blue tees, a modest but genuine test built around the surrounding gas facility grounds.
As one of the northernmost golf courses in Indonesia, Arun gives golfers in Aceh province a genuine full-length course without traveling south to Medan. Its origins as an industrial facility course give it a practical, community-oriented character, and nearly five decades of continuous operation have made it a fixture of Lhokseumawe's local sporting life.
Golf carts are available, and a golf simulator provides indoor practice options regardless of the weather, a practical feature during Aceh's monsoon season. A putting green, restaurant and lounge round out the clubhouse for members and visitors.
