Raj Bhawan Golf Course, built in 1926 within the 220-acre Governor's House estate in Nainital, is one of the oldest and highest golf courses in Asia. This short, technical par-61 course covers 18 holes and tees across 3.2 km, using a mix of greens and browns amid the forested Kumaon hills. it opened to the public in 1994 and is now affiliated with the Indian Golf Union under the Uttaranchal Raj Bhawan Golf Club.
