Kodaikanal Golf Club, founded on 17 June 1895 by twelve British golfers, is a private 18-hole, par-71 course set at 7,280 feet in the Palani Hills, about 6 km from Kodaikanal town near Green Valley View and Pillar Rocks. Spread over 150 acres of natural grassland crossed by streams, the 6,426-yard layout features holes with quirky names like Tiger, Devil's Pit, and Punch Bowl, plus regular sightings of local wildlife. With over 600 members from around the world, the club offers a clubhouse (Centenary Building), accommodation, dining, and practice facilities, and welcomes non-members through temporary membership or a green fee.
