Gulmarg Golf Course
Location: Srinagar, India
Gulmarg Golf Club, founded in 1890 by Colonel Neville Chamberlain and later redesigned by Peter Thomson, is one of the world's highest golf courses at 2,650 meters above sea level, set in a vast alpine meadow ringed by the Pir Panjal Range. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches over 7,500 yards through pine forests and snow-dusted peaks, with rare wildflowers blooming across the meadow each summer. Open April to November, the course has hosted golfers including Tiger Woods and remains one of Asia's most scenic golfing destinations, with a clubhouse offering caddies, equipment rental, and dining.
